Locate MeSnug Hugs For Kids
Since 1991, Merlin 200,000 Mile Shops assist Children’s Home + Aid with much needed donations of warm winter clothing for the 40,000+ children they serve yearly with the Snug Hugs for Kids clothing drive. Merlin Shops also conduct the Warm Hands and Hearts Red Mitten Campaign whereby people can donate money to Children’s Home + Aid to help support their 80+ programs conducted each year in the state of Illinois. How It Works
Each year, new and like-new donations of warm winter outerwear can be dropped off at Merlin Shops in November and December. Customers can also choose to donate funds by purchasing a Warm Hands and Hearts Red Mitten at Merlin.
Items needed include:
Coats and Jackets, Hats and Scarves, Mittens and Gloves, Pants and Sweaters, Boots and Socks
Four Ways to Participate

Donate Clothing at your local Merlin Shop
Items should be sized to fit newborn to eighteen year old children and used items should be clean, free of holes and have working zippers. The collection period starts the last week of October and concludes mid-December. -
Donate Money at a Merlin Shop or to Children’s Home + Aid
Merlin Shops conduct the Warm Hands and Hearts Fundraiser to help support Children’s Home + Aid services and programs. -
Crochet & Knit-A-Thon (CKAT)
Crafters nationwide participate by donating their time, materials and talent to hand craft clothing for the children served by Children’s Home + Aid. Donations can be delivered to a Merlin 200,000 Miles Shop, mailed to Merlin’s Corporate Office, or brought to the CKAT event. -
Kids Helping Kids (KHK)
Children collect and donate as a group with the opportunity to earn a collectible patch. Groups include Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and church, school or youth organizations.
